Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

Terminal line when I type a long command, it overwrites the existing line, just in display, sometimes the cursor position become inconsistent. if I erase using backspace the line gone but the cursor points to an empty field (text must be there) . It make it harder to edit the wrong or typo-ed command..
