Hi, I have a question and haven't been able to receive a direct answer. Maybe this will work. I'm in the US and I currently have a Higgsfield subscription. MiniMax H3 is one of the video models available. According to Higgsfield, I own the videos generated and am free to utilize them commercially, although I've come across information online that refutes this claim. Before putting myself in any legal issues, I'd like a direct answer to whether or not I'm able to use the videos on my monetized YouTube channel? Thank you |

Hi @ben-2364, and sorry for the slow answer on this one. I work on the ComfyUI team at Comfy. We run this docs site, so I can speak to the model and licensing side, but I'm not your lawyer and I can't speak for Higgsfield. There are two separate licenses in play, and I think that's where the conflicting information you've read comes from. 1. Your Higgsfield subscription. Higgsfield's Terms of Use (Section 4.4) state that they do not claim ownership of your inputs or outputs and do not restrict commercial use of outputs, and their help center says that applies to all plans and explicitly includes YouTube monetization. That is the grant you'd be relying on. Two things worth doing: save a dated copy of those pages, and ask support@higgsfield.ai to confirm it in writing for your specific case, something like "outputs generated on my current plan may be used on a monetized YouTube channel, including in client work". Their written answer is what you'd point to if a claim ever came up. 2. The MiniMax model license. How H3 is served changes which terms apply underneath the platform.
I can't tell you which route Higgsfield uses, and they're the ones who can. So the questions worth putting to their support are: is H3 on your plan served through MiniMax's hosted API or from self-hosted weights, and do outputs from my plan carry full commercial rights for monetized channels and client work? Get both in writing, and use watermark-free downloads where your plan offers them, since watermark terms often differ from usage rights. If you ever move to running H3 locally in ComfyUI instead, the commercial license above is exactly the thing you'd need for commercial work. |
