Changing "Maximum Display Length" and "Maximum Display Length" to 22000 does not help (even after restart)

Line not show in the top display and the filter screens.

I work daily with it, and I can show lines that are 40k characters and longer, without a problem.

I see the same.

The text seems to be shown in a 'viewport' within the main window.

if the text is longer than the viewport width, the text is cutoff at the viewport width.

if the main window width is less than the viewport width, the horizontal scrollbar only scrolls with the viewport width - not the text line length.

in order to view really long lines, I need to expand the main window width so that it can show the whole text line - sometimes covering all 3 monitors I have.
Then I expand the viewport width to allow viewing the whole line.
I can then reduce the size of my main window to the desired size. Now I can use the main window horizontal scroll to scroll through the whole line.

Ah, yes.
When I double-click a line, the font does get smaller and I can see the whole line text by scrolling the specific line back and forth along with using the main window scrollbar.

If I set the main window client to the same size as the 'viewport' size, then the main window horizontal scrollbar goes away (as designed)

Double Click is they way to go :) not a bug but a feature
