[QUESTION] Nextcloud 2FA Error: "Unexpected Response 401"

Hello,

I'm using KeePass2Android to open an existing .kdbx database stored on my Nextcloud server, which requires 2FA (TOTP) login. Without 2FA enabled, it connects and works fine via WebDAV. With 2FA on, I get this error:
Received unexpected response: response[protocol=h2, code=401, message...]

Is it possible that KeePass2Android is unable to handle Nextcloud's 2FA/app passwords properly or 2FA for cloud databases is not implemented yet?

Error Code 401 means unauthorized. Here, that indicates that yes, KeePass2Android can't handle the 2FA. A good practice, in order to keep 2FA, is to create an application password. Guide: https://wiki.systemli.org/howto/nextcloud/app-password
