Currently, we have a series of roadmaps which are a bit of a muddle.
This is an known issue, but regardless they include:
- WIP Page which has some UI issues and has a grand total of 1 update on all projects
- Roadmap which is really more of a wishlist which, to my knowledge, nobody maintains to uses.
- Team pages which show quarterly goals for each individual team. Only issue here is that there's nowhere to see it all at once.
Then there's the coming soon section in the app, etc.
The Teams pages seem like the best source of truth and are the most tied-in to our processes -- e.g they get updated every quarter (not sporadically), they have clear owners (team leads), there's conversation about them when relevant (e.g. in all-hands), and we already have a documented process (HOGS) to identify them. Plus, every team now and future, will end up doing them (rather than having to be taught).
Essentially, the quarterly goals are our roadmap. We just don't have a way to see them all in once place at once: so that's the request. Retire the unused the WIP page, retitle the Roadmap as most of a "What should we build next?" page, and create a quarterly view of what we're working on for all teams.
