Error trying to load lua file for emerald

just downloaded mGBA - 0.11-9044-81fa2e982 (file says version 0.11.0.0) and downloaded the raw file for E_RNG_mGBA.lua i put the lua file inside the mGBA file (C:/Program files/mGBA). when i try to load the script i get the following error. [ERROR] C:/Program Files/mGBA/E_RNG_mGBA.lua:834: attempt to index a nil value (global 'emu'). what did i do wrong and how do i fix it?

after loading the rom into mGBA which i thought fixed it because info came up, but i was wrong, now im getting a different error.
[ERROR] C:/Program Files/mGBA/E_RNG_mGBA.lua:463: attempt to index a nil value (local 'buffer')
