Login button does not work

Describe the bug

When logging in and clicking the "login" button, nothing happens. Same occurs for the "register" button when attempting to create a new account.

To Reproduce

1. Click "login" in menu bar
2. Enter username and password
3. Click "login" button
4. Nothing happens

Expected behavior

I should be logged into my Piped account.

Logs/Errors

No response

Browser, and OS with Version.

Brave 1.84.135 on Windows.

Same bug on my self hosted instance running on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Buttons inactive in

• Tor Browser 15.0.7 on Ubuntu 25.10
• Firefox 148.0 on Ubuntu 25.10

since the OP only posted about the UX and not the logs themselves here's what the browser sends out each time the button is pressed, 3 errors total

Access to fetch at 'https://pipedapi.kavin.rocks/register' from origin 'https://piped.video' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.

POST https://pipedapi.kavin.rocks/register net::ERR_FAILED 502 (Bad Gateway)
