this shortcoming actually led to a new contribution! I’ve added the FirestoreSessionService to the ADK here: Give it a spin and let me know what you think. |

As of the current ADK Java releases, DatabaseSessionService is not yet available as a built-in Java session service. The Java SDK does have other persistent session options, including FirestoreSessionService, so if you need persistence today, Firestore is one option to consider. There is also an open request to add a database-backed DatabaseSessionService to ADK Java, so support for a relational database service appears to be planned/in progress rather than already available. For now, the best option depends on your storage requirement: InMemorySessionService for development/testing, or FirestoreSessionService when you need persistent session storage in Java. |
