There's been some discussion in the Cinnamon repo about supporting the usual per-app notification badges for e.g. Slack, Discord, and various e-mail clients:

Because it's such an essential feature for quickly noticing and responding to important messages, I was really glad to see it was being talked about there - it would be wonderful to see this feature in the Cassia Window List as well!
Personally, I prefer Cassia over the stock Grouped Window List for its customizability. It'd be great if it were possible to choose from the settings which corner the window count and notification badge appear in, and what colours they each use.
