There are these utility channels you'd like to keep. But you don't want it to get constantly filled up while you're not using it.
#test is one example. There are others, also partly depending on your area.
If I didn't look into it for a week, there are 200+ new messages I don't care for. You could clear the message history, but not selectively. Everything will be erased even if there are some older entries from interactions you'd like to keep for reference. Or you could remove the channel, with the same effect. But then you'd have to create it again later before using it.
To me it would be a better option to be able to suspend a channel, so it doesn't receive and store any messages until you un-suspend it again.
