Always auto-complete the default parameters of functions

If I type a function name, like "print" and then Enter, it always displays as:
print(sep=..., end=..., file=..., flush=...)
I don't want to fill these parameters. It's too trivia.
Is there an option to disable the auto completion of functions' parameters?

Sorry, your title and body of your help request seem to be at odds with each other. So you specifically want to the tooltip to hide the parameters? We don't automatically fill in every possible parameter for you to type out, so I'm not quite sure what you're asking for help with. Do you have a screenshot you can share?

Can you open an issue? I have never seen our extension or Pylance do that, so I'm not sure what could be causing this (do you have other Python-related extensions installed?).

Thank you for your reply. I'm sure that I'm using ms-python extension with the language server jedi. And I also installed Pylance. If I set the language server as Pylance, it will work as I expect, autocompleting the function name and without parameters.
I'm not sure that is an issue, because maybe I miss some options to disable the weird behavior.
And interestingly, today I update ms-python extension to v2021.2.636928669, then it works well with Jedi.
So for now, this weird behavior disappears. Maybe you fix it 😁. Anyway, many thanks.

It turns out this is due to an experiment we are running with Jedi. We have a fix that will solve it (albeit at the expense of Python 2 support). You can either opt out of the experiment or switch to Pylance to get away from the issue for now (see #15724).

Thank you for informing me about that! And I have switched to Pylance which works well for me. Hope the new version is coming soon.

Barring any issues (of which there have been several already 😉), the hope is to have the new Jedi LSP implementation out to all users over the next couple of weeks.
