Unable to login with my Modrinth account

• I have ensured my Modrinth App installation is up to date

What version of the Modrinth App are you using?

Modrinth App 0.10.25 macOS 26.3.0

Describe the bug

Anytime I try to log in with my Modrinth account, it opens up a tab on my web browser, which is Safari, and I log in, and then after that, it will just show a white screen with a text box looking outline, but nothing happens and back on the Modrinth app, it just says sign in with the open tab on the browser, and I can't get past that point.

Steps to reproduce

To reproduce the problem, you can either go to the bottom left of the screen of the Modrinth app. Under the settings icon, it'll have a login button. Or, on the top right, under where it shows your Microsoft account, it will say sign in to a Modrinth account to add friends and see what they're playing. And that will also open the browser and then have the same issue.

Expected behavior

After clicking on the Login button, you will have to log in into your Modrinth account. After that, it will just show a white screen with a little outline as a text box, but you cannot type anything in, and you're just stuck there, and you will not be able to log in into your Modrinth
account.

Additional data which may help as I just did a clean build on a Mac mini.

Modrinth App 0.10.25 macOS 26.3.0

Same behavior as noted above with Safari as default browser. Installed Firefox and made it the default browser. Attempted signin again and it succeeded in loading the Modrinth login and passing the token back to the App.

It would appear this may be a change in behavior of the native browser with MacOS 26.3.0. On my laptop still running MacOS 26.2, I have had no issues logging in using Safari.

It looks like MacOS 26.3.0 is a beta build and not fully released yet? I can't reproduce on 26.2. I don't think it makes sense to spend time debugging this until after the official version is released

I am experiencing the same issue with Safari, other browsers are fine.

I noticed when using Safari 26.2 on macOS Tahoe 26.2, this message appears in the Safari JavaScript Console:

"[blocked] The page at https://modrinth.com/auth/sign-in?launcher=true&ipver=4&port=54045 requested insecure content from http://127.0.0.1:54045/?code=<alphanumeric_code>. This content was blocked and must"

I am experiencing the same issue using:

• Modrinth App 0.13.4
• macOS Sequoia 15.7.4
• Safari 26.3

I suggest reopening this issue as it is not related to macOS 26 @Hallskii
