WebU(traces): Traces keep on scrolling after opening

Describe the bug

When in the WebUI under "Operate" -> "traces", you open up a trace while new requests coming in, the opened trace will change.

I’m picking this up. I’ll reproduce the live trace-list refresh changing an already-open trace in the React UI, add a focused regression test, and make the smallest state/identity fix on current master.
