Images don't trigger Gnome Image App to open

Describe the bug
Gnome standard Image App not opening and loading imagefile when link is clicked inside Geopard

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open GEOPARD
2. Browse to for example gemini://freeshell.de/picpages/2025-12-31.gmi
3. Click on a jpg link
4. See nothing happen

Expected behavior
The Image App should open and display the linked image
