Making a PR because I want to ensure this does not: 1) mess up (break) things and 2) add unnecessary clutter.
I'm also curious to hear your opinion on splitting the config file into a fixed/global component (never to be touched by the user as it is structural) and a country-specific component (for the user to modify, hence should be more intuitive)
