Fused depth-to-space shortcut + residual add of the video VAE up blocks, residual + depth_to_space3d(repeat_interleave(x, repeats, dim=1)), with an in-place form depth_to_space3d_residual_add_. Used by the Wan 2.2 VAE (DupUp3D in Up_ResidualBlock, also the path Qwen-Image 2.1 decodes through) and the HunyuanVideo 1.5 VAE (UpSmpl, where the residual is the packed conv output, rearranged the same way: residual_packed=True); ComfyUI PR to follow.
ComfyUI currently runs repeat_interleave, a permute copy (permute(...).contiguous() in Wan 2.2, two permute(...) + reshape(...) copies in HunyuanVideo 1.5) and the add as separate kernels that each write the full upsampled tensor. The Triton kernel gathers each output element straight from x through the operands' strides and adds it to the residual in fp32 with one rounding, so the output is bit-identical to the current path (fp16 / bf16 / fp32) and the rearranged shortcut is never written out. Tile shape and warp count are autotuned per output size; inputs the kernels do not cover run eager. The in-place form raises ValueError when residual has internal overlap (e.g. an expanded view) or overlaps x.
Speedup over the current path per call through the public op, at 18 shapes captured from Wan 2.2 5B ti2v 1280x704x121, Qwen-Image 2.1 1024x1024 and tiled HunyuanVideo 1.5 720p x121 decodes; every output is torch.equal to the current path:

depth_to_space3d_residual_add(x, residual, factor_t, factor_s, repeats) computes residual + depth_to_space3d(repeat_interleave(x, repeats, dim=1)): the upsampling shortcut of the Wan 2.2 VAE (DupUp3D, channels ordered (c, ft, fs, fs), first_chunk dropping the first factor_t - 1 frames, added to the main branch in Up_ResidualBlock) and of the HunyuanVideo 1.5 VAE (UpSmpl, channels ordered (ft, fs, fs, c) with factors_first, where the residual is the packed conv output and is rearranged too with residual_packed). depth_to_space3d_residual_add_ is the in-place form that the Wan 2.2 image path runs through strip_apply. Public wrappers, torch.ops.comfy_kitchen custom ops with fake impls, and the eager backend as the reference: the ComfyUI sequences as they are, including the row strips of the in-place form.

One gather-add kernel per form: each program owns a block of output rows by a block of output columns, computes for every output element the source channel and position of the repeated and rearranged shortcut, loads it and the residual element, adds them in fp32 and rounds once, which is what the eager add does, so the output is bit-identical to the eager backend and the rearranged shortcut is never written out. The (c, ft, fs, fs) kernel covers the Wan 2.2 out-of-place, first_chunk and in-place forms; the (ft, 2, 2, c) kernel covers the HunyuanVideo 1.5 form with the packed residual rearranged by the same index map. All operands are read and written through their strides. The tile shape and warp count are autotuned per output size over 7 tiles x num_warps {4, 8} (restoring the output during tuning, so the in-place form adds once). The call rule declines mixed dtypes, empty tensors, an in-place residual sharing storage with x and the factor combinations the kernels do not cover, which run eager; there is no size threshold.
Signed-off-by: ChanFu, Hsu <ChanFu.Hsu@amd.com>
The eager add promotes an x and a residual of different dtypes (an fp32 x into a bf16 residual gives fp32), but the registered fake returned residual's dtype, so torch.compile would trace the wrong output dtype. The fake now uses torch.promote_types(x.dtype, residual.dtype); the test checks the fake's dtype against eager, including mixed dtypes in both forms.

The Triton module docstring said the autotuned tile list was best or tied with the best fixed tile on every shape on both GPUs. On the Radeon 8060S the fixed 4 x 256 tile was faster on some small Wan 2.2 / Qwen-Image 2.1 shapes (up to 9%), so the docstring now gives the measured margin: within 4% of the fixed tiles on the RTX 5090 and within 10% on the Radeon 8060S.

_depth_to_space3d_residual_add_call_rule so it rejects residual tensors with
overlapping destination elements, including expanded views, rather than checking
only whether residual shares a storage pointer with x. Preserve the existing
x-alias rejection and use an established overlap check if available.

…contiguous packed output
The in-place op raises ValueError when residual has internal overlap (e.g. an expanded view) or when x overlaps residual, with the same rules as check_rope_inplace; before, the triton call rule accepted an internally overlapping residual and the eager strip loop could read rows of x it had already written. The eager packed (HunyuanVideo 1.5) path returns a contiguous tensor, as the fake and the triton backend do; with factor_t 1 and H = W = 1 the sum came out strided. Tests for all three.

_interleaved_disjoint compares offsets in elements, not bytes. For W = 2**23 + 1, float16 x and float32 residual can share storage with shape (1, 1, 1, 2, W), strides (4*W, 4*W, 4*W, 2*W, 1), and offsets 0 and W. With factors and repeats set to 1, the check accepts them, but writing residual row 0 can change x row 1 before the next strip reads it.
Require equal element sizes before applying the interleaved-disjoint shortcut:
