Realtime availability data for NEVI-funded EV stations? #438

@quicklywilliam if you mean whether a charger is in use, or available, we do not track that in real-time. We update our stations data nightly for networks we have API integrations with.
Ah, bummer. Does NREL or anyone else you know of have plans to make this data available? My hope is that with some pressure, vendors could align around some kind of standard for public availability data.
EV charger availability data is a morass of proprietary APIs and inconsistent data. My understanding is that for NEVI-funded chargers, public availability data is required. Could this data be incorporated into the Alternative Fuel Stations API?
