Franz Bettag

AI Security Engineer · Entrepreneur · Security Researcher · Platform Architect

I build and secure production systems from bare metal to autonomous AI agents.

I started with Unix and internet infrastructure in 2001. Ruby and Rails followed in 2006, Objective-C and iPhone development in 2008, and Scala in 2009. I became a Liftweb committer in January 2012.

From 2014 to 2019, i was the Lead/Sole Engineer behind Kleinanzeigen.de. I rebuilt and operated its FreeBSD platform end to end in Go before the platform was sold to eBay.

Since 2020, my work has focused on Elixir/BEAM and AI systems. Since 2023, primarily LLMs, RAG, production agents, and AI Security.
