@nycdidar, can you get rid of this? It is added automatically by Drupal.org when a release is made and therefore not needed in the codebase.
In order to keep the log clean, you can make the change and then do git add . and git commit --amend and finally git push origin mybranchname --force

There are some useful commits that can go in master along with a small bug fix. Juampy suggested to have it synced with your master so we can keep it up to date instead of fixing locally.
